Komoro Castle was deserted in 1871 (4th year of the Meiji era), but was later transformed into a modern park in 1926 (15th year of the Taisho era) under the name Komoro Castle Ruins Kaikoen. As an old castle, it presents beautiful scenery for all four seasons. And it also has an art museum, memorial hall, zoo, and amusement park, lifting spirits with the feeling of breeze through the grass. It has been designated as one of the one hundred top Japanese cherry blossom locations and as one of the one hundred top Japanese historical parks.
